Registering for the W5ZDN D-Star Gateway

Step One: Submit Registration

  1. Click the “Register on W5ZDN D-Star Repeater” link.
  2. When the Certificate Error page comes up click “Continue to this website (not recommended).
  3. When the D-STAR Gateway System (W5ZDN) page comes up click the “Register” button under New User?
  4. Read the agreement document and click the “YES” radio button
  5. Enter in your FCC Call Sign, full name, valid E-Mail Address

NOTE: Enter you Call Sign using CAPITAL letters

  1. Enter a password that is 8 – 16 characters in length

NOTE: Please note that this password can not be seen or recovered by administration. If you lose your password your account will need to be deleted and recreated.

  1. Click the “OK” button
  2. Click the “OK” button when asked “Are you sure?”
  3. When a page comes up stating Registration is submitted click the “OK” button.

NOTE: The Gateway administrators will need to manually approve each user.

  1. You will receive an E-Mail stating that you have been added to the W5ZDN D-Star Gateway.

 

Step Two: Login and Complete Registration

  1. Once you receive the E-Mail go back to the D-Star Gateway System Page (Steps 2 – 5)
  2. Enter you Call Sign and Password under “Already registered?”

NOTE: Call Sign and Password is case sensitive. Call Sign should be all CAPS

  1. Click the “Login” button
  2. Click the “Personal Information” link on the right hand side of the page under the “Logout” button
  3. Put a check in the box to the left of the number 1 to enable editing of the line
  4. Put a SPACE in the box under “Initial”
  5. Do NOT check the RPT box
  6. Type your call sign in the pcname box in lower case
  7. Click the “Update” button
  8. Click “OK” when it asks are you sure
  9. Click “OK” when the processing is completed box comes up
  10. Click the “Logout” button
