— Note —

  • There is a $25 course fee, to be paid in advance. This covers the cost of the text and pre-study materials, lunch and snacks, and other consumables you will use. Upon receiving your registration info, we will contact you about collecting the payment, and providing you with the course materials. (If you already have the Gordon West General Class book, we will reduce your course fee to just $10.)
  • We will provide you with a handout that directs you to complete a pre-class reading assignment and a fill-in-the-blank study guide prior to the first day of class. This preparation is essential so Saturday April 28 is the last day to register. Register early and give yourself plenty of time for the pre-study!
  • We have arranged for Volunteer Examiners to administer the FCC exam on the next day: Sunday May 6 (see our News page for details). As usual, there is a separate $14 fee required for this exam. (Of course, you are free to test at another VE session, but be sure to do it before July 1—when the new, harder question pool goes into effect!)
  • We have worked hard to distill this learning experience down to one, fast-paced session, with lively discussions and hands-on activities with real HF radios. Please circle this date—Saturday, May 5—on your calendar and plan to attend the session. You can do this! You can step up to the exciting world of HF voice privileges!
